About Camp Patriot
Established in 2006, Camp Patriot is a 5-Star rated, 501c3 non-profit organization that has transformed the lives of hundreds of wounded and disabled veterans. This important task has been accomplished by fostering trusted relationships created through our unique outdoor programs. Each program is specifically designed to deliver a powerful "life transformation".
The physical injury represents only one third of the total injury suffered by our wounded veterans. All wounds of war are complex and are comprise of physical, emotional and spiritual damage. Many wounded veterans are able to quickly overcome their physical wounds with the help of new state-of-the-art treatment programs. However, these same veterans are challenged to conquer the emotional and spiritual wreckage that remains long after the body has healed.
Unique Treatment Approach: Whole Person Therapy
Our programs encourage and support participants to discover new ways of overcoming their injuries by modifying their prosthetics’, techniques and limiting beliefs.
"My traumatic, life-changing injury could have easily influenced me into a life of bitterness; however, overcoming obstacles, like Mt. Rainier, have served as opportunities to realize I am still "me", no less. Camp Patriot has not only provided the trip, but more importantly, you have demonstrated leadership - a leadership that warriors follow... From the front. Camp Patriot demonstrates that supporting the troops is more than placing a bumper sticker on a car. It is understanding an important tenant of the warrior ethos: "I will never leave a fallen comrade."

The Proven Solution: Trusted Relationships
Camp Patriot offers trusted relationships. Our programs offer veterans the opportunity to test their physical abilities while at the same time building bonds with other participants and our staff. This new network of relationships offers opportunities, positive encouragement, support and hope. These bonds extend long after the veterans return home as these trusted relationships become a direct conduit to employment, education, health care treatment, and leadership opportunities.
"Relations with others are very important for trauma survivors."
-The Cleveland Clinic Foundation
The Mission: Challenge, Change and Lead
Our programs challenge veterans to learn new ways to overcome their wounds in order to accomplish amazing goals.
These challenges represent a crucible of change that proves to each participant that they can overcome any obstacle.
Camp Patriot alumni have gone on to become great leaders in their communities.
Today there are over 2.3 million disabled veterans in the U.S. and the number grows each day as the war on terror continues. These brave veterans have made great sacrifices in order to ensure our safety and freedom. We thank veterans by showing them that with the right relationships and support they can accomplish anything.
"After I lost my leg, my therapist told me that I would never make it to the top of Mt. Rainier. Camp Patriot surrounded me with ‘Can Do” people who inspired me to train and persist. Reaching the summit was one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. I could not wait to show my therapist the photo of me holding the American flag at the top of Mt. Rainier.”
